Quality childcare and education for children from birth to five

Upper Hutt - Goodshed Road Centre team members

Staff Upper Hutt Jing Hello, everyone. My name is Jing. I am a teacher in the Kiwi Room (Over Three’s).
I have been working at Childhood Concepts since 2010. Then in 2012 I came to join our Upper Hutt Centre’s team as a qualified teacher after I graduated with a Graduate Diploma of Teaching (Early Childhood) from the University of Waikato.
I love teaching because I enjoy watching children learn, grow and develop.  I am proud to be a part of each child’s learning journey as they explore and make sense of their world and become competent and confident learners and communicators.
In my spare time I enjoy gardening, travelling, photography, sport and spending time with my wife and friends.  Please feel free to have a chat with me when you see me around.

I have been working alongside children in early childhood centres for the past 14 years. I have worked in a variety of early childhood centres in Lower Hutt as well as one in Howick, Auckland.

I attended Victoria University in Wellington where I studied towards a degree in early childhood (Bachelor of Education) and graduated in 2010. I have completed my teacher’s registration and currently hold a full registered teachers practising certificate.

I live locally in upper Hutt with my partner Matt, we have a 7 year old daughter Ella; whom brings us much love, laughter, tears and plenty of challenges. We also have 3 fur babies; our best buddy Jett (English staffy) and 2 cats.

Upper Hutt Staff - KateHi, I’m Kate and I work in the Kiwi Room here at Childhood Concepts Upper Hutt. I have worked here for 4 years, and really enjoy the time I get to spend with the children and their families every day. I completed my Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) in 2014 and am currently completing my registration.
I live in Mangaroa with my fiancé Mitchell and our son Ryder who is 5, we are also expecting another baby boy in June. I feel that my job is very special as I get to be a part of childrens lives as they grow, it is so rewarding to be alongside them as they develop and thrive, explore their world and discover their own unique skills, interests and personalities.
